Founder, Bill Harrington, established Harrington Construction, Inc. in December of 1976 at the age of 20. He was one of the youngest builders to be certified by the State of Florida. Throughout the years, Harrington Construction began to specialize in construction of custom homes in high velocity building zones along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. By using innovative structural designs, we were able to produce a home that was cost effective, stronger, and more appealing in design than other custom builders. As a Florida State Certified Building Contractor, we were licensed to build both residential and commercial projects.

In 2005 we moved our business and became licensed as a general contractor with an unlimited classification in the State of North Carolina, to focus on North Carolina Healthy Built Homes. As construction technology advances with new building materials and systems, along with new energy and building codes, houses have become very tight, closed structures. Controlling moisture, both inside and out, along with off gassing of interior products, has become a major concern that needs to be addressed in every home. Understanding how all these components work in your home is essential to building a healthy, efficient, sustainable, and safe home.
